Mgr. Simona Kosíková Šulcová studied Environment Protection at the Faculty of Science, Charles University Prague. Since May 2007 she has been a freelance consultant. From 1998 to 2007 she was Manager of the Regional Environmental Centre of the Czech Republic. She has practical experience in strategic and project management of national and international environmental projects. She has been specializing in assessment of the impacts on the environment, especially assessment of conceptions (SEA) and assessment regarding sustainable development (SA). From 2000 to 2006 she worked as a team leader or member on a number of SEA projects including evaluation of national development plans and programme documents. She also participated in various international activities concerning development of environmental assessment in the Czech Republic and other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. She is a member of SEA Task Team working group under OECD DAC ENVIRONET, member of International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) and founder member of national Sustainable Development Initiative focusing on introducing and monitoring indicators of sustainable development in cities and microregions around the Czech Republic. As part of international cooperation of the Czech Republic she is a member of a team working on projects implemented in Vietnam.
